Build an ofrenda
Be part of this meaningful tradition!
Families, schools, organizations and individuals are invited to create an altar within the zoo to honor those who came before us. Altars celebrate and remember beloved family, friends and pets who have passed, using photos, flowers, candles, food and symbolic items.
Ofrenda registration includes one Adult General Admission for both nights of the event!
Catrina Contest
Participate in this year's Catrina Contest for the chance to win a Family Membership!
Contestants will walk in the Dia de los Muertos parade.
Register the day of the event before 7 pm.
Face Painting
Get into the spirit of Dia de los Muertos with festive face painting! Choose a colorful design inspired by the tradition and add a little extra flair to your celebration.
Frame Craft
Create a colorful Dia de los Muertos photo frame to honor someone special! Bring your own 4x6 photo and decorate a frame to celebrate their memory. Add your finished frame to the zoo's community altar or take it home to display on your own altar. This craft is free with admission and open to all ages!
