New! Nelson Lake Paddleboat Excursions: Take some time during your zoo visit to enjoy cruising Nelson Lake aboard a swan paddleboat! Each bird holds two adults and one child. Half-hour rentals are $4 Nelson Dock logoper person. Children 3 to 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants must sign a liability waiver form. A parent or guardian must sign for minors. Swan boat rentals available from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Due to weather issues, wind and lightning, boat rentals may be forced to close without notice.boat

Safari Express Train – Train tokens are available for purchase in the Zoo Store from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and can be redeemed at the train station until 4 p.m.. $2/person, 2 years of age and under FREE.  Schedule subject to change due to weather and/or animal needs.trainWildlife Carousel: Take a whirl on the wild side! Tokens are available for $2 in the Zoo Store until 4 p.m. Children younger than two can ride free with a paying adult, and children need to be 42 inches tall to ride the merry-go-round alone.

Kilimanjaro Mining Sluice: Young miners will discover fossils and gemstones as they pan in this old fashioned sluice. Buy a bag of “rough” at the mining shack. Cost is $8 for pay dirt, $9 for fossil finds, and $11 for Lucky Strike bags.
