As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization we rely on you to provide world-class care for each animal that calls Abilene Zoo home. A gift of any size ensures a thriving future for wildlife here and across the world.
Our love for the animals at Abilene Zoo drives us everyday. From the tiniest frog to the tallest giraffe, each animal receives customized, husbandry, enrichment, diet, and vet care. Join us in providing round-the-clock love and care!
For more than 50 years Abilene Zoo has been committed to wildlife conservation in our own Big Country backyard and across the world. Be a part of ensuring wildlife for future generations.
Protect native birds in the Big Country! As the only accredited bird rehabilitation center in the Big Country, Abilene Zoo intakes over 500 birds each year and releases 50% of treatable birds, finding forever homes at accredited institutions for those that are non-releasable.
Impact the thousands of students that visit Abilene Zoo each year on a fieldtrip, at summer camp, or during an off-site animal encounter. Students throughout the Big Country get up-close with animals, creating inspiration today and conservation tomorrow.
