Today is Endangered Species Day! 🌍🦏
Abilene Zoo is dedicated to the mission of conservation and protecting our world’s endangered species. Not only is our goal to conserve, but to educate and inspire others to share the same mission.
While we should be learning about and working to conserve endangered species year round, Endangered Species Day is the perfect time to bring awareness to these animals. Animals such as the East African crowned crane, Panamanian golden frog, black rhino, and black footed ferret are just some of the endangered species that we are striving to conserve.
Not only do we want people to know which species are endangered, but to know about them as well! Stay tuned throughout this weekend to learn about these four species! ...
