Join us on July 3, 2022 for WesTex Connect’s 15th Annual Fireworks Spectacular at the Abilene Zoo’s Festival Gardens.

Celebrate the United State’s Independence with admission to the zoo, live music, Texas eats, and the BIGGEST 4th of July firework spectacular in the Big Country.

 

Early bird discounts are only available until 5:00 PM CST on July 1, 2022

 

Your ticket includes:

  • Admission to the Abilene Zoo  from 4 – 9 PM (last admission at 8 PM)
  • Giraffe Feeding Experience, Zoo Train Ride, and Carousel Ride
  • Sharon’s BBQ Dinner
  • Live Music from “Guys with Guitars” with Tony Barker, Randy Beal & Chris Crisp
  • A performance by the Ariel Hutchins Band

  • VIP Parking & Access to Festival Gardens Opens at 4 PM
  • Dyess Honor Guard presents the US Flag at 6PM
  • Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem & Prayer
  • Sharon’s BBQ Dinner served 6 PM – 8 PM
  • LIVE Music presented “Guys with Guitars”: by Tony Barker, Randy Beal & Chris Crisp  from 6 – 8 PM
  • Big Country 1 Flyover at 8 PM
  • A performance by the Ariel Hutchins Band 8 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Music & Fireworks Simulcast on 101.7 FM The Raider
  • Children’s Fireworks Show at 9:30 PM
    • *Children’s Ticket Required for Interactive Entrance (limited to first 100 children)*
    • Children 3 to 10 years only for Show—Must be Accompanied by Parent/Guardian
  • WesTex Connect’s Fireworks Spectacular at 10 PM

  • *Bring Your Seat—Lawn Chairs, Blankets, Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Cool Rags, etc. recommended
  • *Please Respect Our City Park by Cleaning Up Your Area & Picking Up Trash
  • *Tickets are Non-Transferable & Hold NO Cash Value.  No Refunds Unless Event is Canceled
  • *I understand that by purchasing tickets and/or participating in the event in any way that I agree to the Liability Disclaimer
  • *Entrance by Vehicle REQUIRES a purchased VIP Parking Pass
  • *No drop offs inside Zoo Parking Lot entrance
  • *Present VIP Parking Pass ticket at White Tent at entrance to receive parking pass and to gain access
  • *If you choose to not purchase a parking pass… Additional Parking is available inside Grover Nelson Park or across the street by the Taylor Co Coliseum Box Office OR the softball field areas.  Simply walk over.  Exchange your online tickets for wristbands at the White Tent at the main entrance.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER FOR FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

WesTex Connect (WTC) does not provide liability insurance for the protection of individuals, groups, organizations, businesses, spectators, sponsors, or others who may participate in the July 4th Fireworks Spectacular (held on July 3, 2022, or rain date July 4, 2022).  

In consideration for your participation in said Fireworks Spectacular, the individual, group, organization, business, spectator, or other, does hereby release and forever discharge WTC, and its officers, board, employees, and sponsors, jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon or by reason of any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participating in the Fireworks Spectacular.  

This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability and the consequences thereof as well as those now disclosed and known to exist.  Fireworks and fire and boom, are very loud, and cause fallout from the sky.  The provisions of any state, federal, local or territorial law or state providing substance that releases shall not extend to claims, demands, injuries, sickness, death, or damages which are known or unsuspected to exist at this time, to the person executing such release, are hereby expressly waived.

I hereby agree on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, to indemnify WTC and its officers, board, employees, and sponsors, joint and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon and by release of any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participating in the Fireworks Spectacular.

It is further understood and agreed that said participation in the Fireworks Spectacular is not to be construed as an admission of any liability and/or acceptance of assumption of responsibility for any damages or expenses by WTC, its officers, board, employees, and sponsors, jointly and/or severally. It is also understood that WTC, its officers, board and employees, will not be liable as a result of any alleged action of the Fireworks Spectacular participant.
