World Sloth Day

Come celebrate everything sloth as the Zoo Crew invite you to experience World Sloth Day. There will a special appearance by Sadie, the two toed sloth, at the Exploration Station. These incredible animals sleep 20 to 23 hours a day, but don’t sleep through your alarm, join us as we celebrate World Sloth Day on Friday, October 22.

  • Photos available with Sadie for a donation of $25 to the Abilene Zoo Conservation Fund
  • Raffle tickets benefiting the Abilene Zoo Conservation Fund available at Exploration Station
    • Raffle drawing will be at 12:30 PM, you do not have to be present to win
    • Multiple drawings for unique, sloth made, paintings. Raffle tickets will be $10
    • Multiple drawings for x-ray picture of sloth arms in the shape of a heart. Raffle tickets will be $10
