Membership FAQ

The new membership levels offer more benefits and flexibility! New benefits include additional guest passes (varies by level), the option to add a 3rd named member, free train or carousel tokens (varies by level), and more flexibility with who can visit (varies by level).

With a Family level membership two named members can bring up to six dependents when visiting the Zoo. With a Deluxe level membership, two named members can bring up to six people when visiting the Zoo – bring your kids, grandkids, neighbors, or out of town visitors!  

The member add-on is perfect for a nanny, caregiver, or grandparent. Any individual 16 years or older with a valid photo ID can be added as the 3rd named member.

Yes, if you renew your membership early, your membership will automatically extend by a full year. Example: If your current membership expires in March of 2023 and you renew to the new membership in November of 2022, your updated membership will be good through March of 2024. 

Your current membership will still work!  When it is time to renew your membership you will get to choose from the new membership levels.

Guest passes will expire at the end of your membership.  For example: If you purchase your membership on 9/1/2022, your guest passes expire on 9/30/2023.

Our member guest passes have gone digital.  Your passes are attached to your membership and can be redeemed at any time (excluding special events), just let guest services know at the ticket booth.

Two individuals 16 years or older with a valid photo ID can be named on the Dual through Donor level memberships.  There is an add-on option for a 3rd individual, perfect for a nanny, caregiver, or grandparent.  Each named member will receive a membership card and must present their membership card and photo ID when utilizing their membership. 

We offer $5 off all membership levels to Seniors, Military and First Responders.  

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a named individual on the membership.

No. A membership card and photo ID must be provided when utilizing a membership. 

Special Events are not included in memberships but are offered at a discounted rate to members.  We do have a few events throughout the year that will be free to members.  Remember to check our social media for more information about events.

Guest passes are digital and redeemed at the ticket window.

Train or carousel tokens may be redeemed at the ticket window or in the gift shop.

Up Close Tours must be reserved in advance by calling 325.676.6085. 

All online membership purchases will have a token redemption card included in your welcome packet.  The welcome packet is mailed to the address listed on your account. When you arrive at the zoo go to the ticket window or gift shop to receive your tokens.  This card can only be used once. Tokens do not expire. 

Just visit www.AZA.org/reciprocity to view the reciprocal list.  We suggest calling the destination before you go.

Make sure you are logged into your account.  Once you go to the check out cart the discount should be deducted from your total.  Don’t have an account? Click register at the top right hand corner. Memberships are attached to the email listed on the account.
