Group Field Trips
We can’t wait to see you and your students at the zoo. Please submit a Zoo Field Trip Request Form, as there is limited space daily. ALL organizations must submit a Field Trip Request Form to receive the group rate admission seven days in advance. Thank you for helping us make your visit a success.
Field Trip Rates
- Students (PreK-7th grade) – $6.50 each
- Students (8th-12th grade) – $8.00 each
- Teachers – $8.00 each
- Field trip rates must be paid as a group in one transaction on arrival, accept credit card, cash, or check
- Parents and siblings not paying with the group are subject to a regular admission rate
*There is no fee for Abilene or Wylie ISD Field Trips for students or school personnel
Field Trip Add-Ons
Add an educational experience featuring an Ambassador Animal your students can touch!
- $50 minimum
- $2.25 per student
- Students & Teachers only is preferred
- 20-30 minutes
- Time Blocks: 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
- Class sizes are limited to 50 per classroom
*These rates apply to all groups including Abilene or Wylie ISD

Field Trips
You’re sure to have a wild time at the Abilene Zoo! You can add giraffe feeding, train rides, and carousel tokens to your zoo trip! You can contact zoo.education@abilenetx.gov for more information.
