Christmas Celebration Powered by Reliant Returns to Abilene Zoo

Open Nightly December 13 – 23

This holiday season, Abilene Zoo invites you to the 6th annual Christmas Celebration powered by Reliant; from December 13 – 23 from 4 to 9 p.m. This magical experience will once again immerse guests in holiday wonder with nearly one million lights, festive decor, and family-friendly seasonal activities that make this event a special holiday tradition.

Reliant returns as a presenting sponsor for the sixth consecutive year. Their support has made this holiday tradition a magical experience for the Abilene community.

“Christmas Celebration is always such a fun event for visitors of all ages, and we’re excited about this year’s new features,” said Mark Parsons, senior vice president, Reliant. “We’re proud to light up the holidays and support the zoo in creating lasting holiday memories. We invite everyone to come and join us for this family friendly experience.”

This year’s Christmas Celebration will once again transform the zoo into a winter wonderland with themed holiday zones, immersive light displays, and an atmosphere that captures the magic of the season. Guests can meet Santa and his reindeer, skate in an iceless skating rink, decorate a cookie at Mrs. Claus’ Texas Bakery, journey through Beltway’s Walk to Bethlehem, take holiday photos, and enjoy seasonal treats including s’mores, hot chocolate and holiday-crafted adult beverages.

Due to popular demand, Santa’s Toy Workshop has expanded, inviting even more young guests to create their own toy and experience the joy of the season in a hands-on way.
